What is Laser hair removal?

Laser energy targets the pigment in the hair, converting the energy to heat which damages the hair follicles reducing in future hair growth.

How many treatments of Laser hair removal are required?

Our courses are based on 6 treatments, some patients require more depending on hair & skin type.

Why do I need a consultation for laser hair removal?

All laser treatments are specific to your skin type & hair color. Consultations will include assessment of the area to be treated and patch test.
Patients should attend consultations with little to no makeup, small area to be shaved, to allow for the patch test with hair visible to be assessed.
Consultations are £25 and are redeemable against courses / treatment.

Do you offer 'top up' treatments?

Yes, following your course of treatments if you require a further top up please contact the clinic for a new patch test & consultation.
Patients that have been treated elsewhere, please contact the clinic for a patch test & consultation

Can I wear tan / sun exposure?

Self tanning products are to be avoided 2 weeks prior to treatment.
Sun exposure is avoided 4 weeks prior & post to treatment.

I have been getting waxed, can I have laser treatment?

Yes, allow 6 weeks +  from waxing / other hair removal methods, to allow for the hair growth to regulate and benefit from the treatment.

Can I have laser hair removal whilst pregnant or breastfeeding?

Laser treatments during pregnancy are contraindicated and can commence 3 months post pregnancy.
Patients who are breastfeeding, it is advised to commence laser treatments 3 months post pregnancy, results are more guaranteed when patients are not breastfeeding.

I have blonde / grey hair, can I have laser hair removal?

Lasers are drawn to the pigment in the hair follicle, if there is light or no pigment in the hair, treatment would be unsuccessful.
